Supervision

From proposal to publication.

I supervise research that ends in something real: a thesis that holds up, a paper, a system people use.

Doctoral

Biomedical informatics, machine learning and deep learning, with co-supervision where a second discipline helps.

Masters

Applied machine learning, data science, software engineering and secure systems.

Prospective students

What I look for.

  • A question that fits one of the lab's five themes
  • Working skill in Python or R, or the will to build it fast
  • Readiness to write early and publish from the thesis

Reference letters

Request a reference.

I write for students I have taught or supervised. A complete request gets a stronger letter, sooner.

  • Allow at least 14 days. Shorter deadlines are accepted with a warning.
  • Attach your CV and transcript.
  • Tell me how it is submitted: email, portal link or sealed letter.
  • You'll get an email at each step: received, drafting, sent.
